After having talked about Tiny Houses and carrying out the concept of minimal house, probably most of you are curious about its mainteinance, how much energy they take, if they are worthwhile and more and more questions about that. Thats because we are going to talk about another concept that is usually trending topic, energy efficiency.

Energy efficiency is reducing the amount of energy used to obtain the same services, and without refusing comfort. There are two ways to use this concept: use some measures to save energy and to use the same energy efficiently. In any case the amount of energy used for each service is reduced.
Why those facts help and affect us? Personally, each person or business that applies that concept is benefited with reduced receipts, that is, an economical benefit. Globally, in a common sense, it helps to reduce the consumption of natural resources and enviroment, such us greenhouse effect gases.
For this there are some plans that encourage the use of energy efficiency, usually through platforms created fot that. This is the case of the Spanish Efficiency Energy Technological Platform in which let know about events and news of innovation of efficiency energy. Also there is the IDAE (Instituto de Diversificación y Ahorro de Energía) in which some business also do these investment.
Small gestures, big solutions. New technologies progress quickly and they are applied to do the best of most of the people, even energy efficiency. That so every person can do some small gestures in its daylife, such us using LED bulbs, using bicicle or express pot (less time cooking, less energy you need).
What is more, reusing is another way of energy efficiency, changing the use of an object or recycling them are small gestures you can do everyday and most of the times is just the habit the only effort people have to do. Also there are some types of energy optimization such as crossed ventilation and that there are just some tricks of our ancestors, learned from experience.
