Caravan’s world

After having talked about caravan familiars and campers and a little bit of its history and actual use, today we are going to talk about campers and caravans. First of all we are going to talk about its clasification.

Remember that the definition of camper is every vehicle towed by itself (that is, it has its own engine) that allows in its interior the developement of human activities. Here living use is found (that is the one we are talking most of the time) or a professional use.

Inside campers Spanish clasification we can find campers, capuccinas, perfiladas and integrales.

Campers are adapted vans (the ones we saw in the previous post), preserving its default exterior settings, adding all the isolation, furniture and installations needed to live inside it.

Most of all of this type were unique, because its owner customiced it on the way it was needed. The best example of those are Volkswagen Combi, considered an icon of flower power movement, but as it was said in the previous post we can not forget about Vokswagen Transporter.

Nowadays in Spain those changes are known as the conversion to a living vehicle and it is usually done by engineers, with some certifications authoring the intervetion and the ITV intervention too.

Capuccinas are a very popular type, because it does not sacrifice interior space to obtain a big bed and it is situated in the upper place of the drivers place. They are used to have a big afluence of people (some of them even can have eight people inside them), so they are perfect for a holiday with friends.

Perfiladas are very similar to capuccinas, but its upper space is reduced in highness to be switched upto a storage space. It is usually used by pairs that travel through long periods of time (or in which they need lots of luggage). Even so, in long trips it is possible to extend inner space to obtain more space, saving the users from the weather and having privacity.

In last we have integrales, that have a more aerodinamic shape. They are also more elegant, but they are considered the high level. Its users are usually people with more money. Models of that kind are made from two to six people. Driver cubicle (and the rest of the spaces in general) are roomier, because they are done for people to live there in a more comfortable way inside those moving living houses.

Lastly we can add that caravans are vehicles, houses, that need an external agent to be moved. Those can have different shapes and sizes (and its existences started with nomads). Nowadays, we can find an almost infinite number of models, one per need, most of them being able to be modified for the final user.
