Cross-disciplinariness

22 de August de 2016 | | Blog, Design

Despite we have talked about what is suposed to be an interior designer, today, we are going to talk about what a designer is, which is his or her function, how does he or she sees the world and what means his cross-disciplinary.

A designer is just a person that treats the world in a practical way, understanding it from a functional point of view, because “form follows function”, and although there are lots of specializations (clothes, graphic, videogames, interiors…) today we are not going to talk about them, because they share the point of view, the point of create, the point of test, the point of create and the point of solve.

So, as we saw, a designer pretends to do the world more practical, adapting his creations to the people that are going to use them. That involves some stages inside the developement of a project, not to make us see impediments that do not erxist and to know the client who we are going to work with (not the one that pay us, but the final consumer -although that suposes a huge erosion for us-).

In that way, making graphics and moving through the abstract we can find ourselves in situations in which we have to make things that we had had never done in any other situation 8just because in this case it is important to be done), learn, consult and colaborate with anyone needed.

That is because we can not just see one discipline, that is why we never stop learning, that is why we are sponges of constant information. That is why we are designers. Because we adapt ourselves, because we experiment and create depending on the needs.

Because you and your confort, you and your life, you and yours are important for us.
